Team Hope and Soul..

Meet the team with big dreams and even bigger hearts

Hope Prosser

Hope Prosser

Hope is the founder of Hope and Soul and currently lives in Tanzania. Working full time for a volunteer company so that all her living costs are self funded ensures Hope can remain with direct project contact and provide careful supervision. Hope previously worked in the UK as a nurse for the NHS but gave up her love of nursing for life in Tanzania to better Hope and Soul projects. Hope dreams that the charity will one day provide support for thousands of children.

Ian and Jackie Barter first travelled to Tanzania in 2014 where they met Hope on the same volunteering programme. Upon discovering that in the UK they lived very close to each other and over multiple evenings of competitive card games and shared experiences in Arusha they formed a close friendship. Ian and Jackie joined our board of trustees in 2022 and have an incredible amount of knowledge and experience that they bring to the table including support with finances, policies and procedures, experience of frequent travel to Arusha and a very true compassion for the children that Hope and Soul supports. We are honoured to have them as part of our team.

Amy Bowles

Amy Bowles

We welcomed Amy to our team in 2018 when after two successful trips to Tanzania within one year it was evident she had a real heart for the children and young people within Hope and Soul. Amy is hard working, thoughtful and extremely kind to everyone she meets both in our projects and the surrounding communities. Forever helping to think of new ideas to help with everything from fundraising, project work, volunteers and collecting donations we love her and feel very proud to have her on the team.

The extremely faithful and kind parents- Graham and Caroline have been amazing supporters of Hope and the charity from day one and have the best intentions for it making them welcomed trustees. Graham and Caroline visited Tanzania to meet the children within Women's Christian Orphanage and also some of the original street children that we first started working with. They work very hard behind the scenes supporting with fundraising car boot sales and making sure everyone is aware of our latest news and events. We hope they can visit Tanzania again soon!
